Resume Communication is one of the key factors in the success of an organization. There are several means of communication including local area network. An institution is sustainable only if the network infrastructure on which it is based, is strong. That's why intranets have been deployed extensively throughout organizations and institutions. This has increased collaborative communication channels and by the way facilitated business processes. Moreover, the new network services to be deployed require the implementation, administration, maintenance and monitoring of the network. Thus, it is compulsory to set up the architecture of the system for an easier integration. The present study was carried out for the implementation of the intranet of Polytechnic School of Abomey-Calavi based on structured cabling. A new architecture has been proposed according to the hierarchic model. A comparison was made between manufacturers of computer network equipment to choose the adequate products for the new architecture. Graphical Network Simulator 3 software was used to simulate the proposed new architecture. At the end of this study, the results of the simulation showed that, in addition to being functional and ready to be implemented, the new architecture is scalable and can therefore cover future intranet needs. All this can be applied in real-time to achieve improvement in organizational performance.
