| Resume | Résumé L’achalasie diagnostiquée au stade de méga-oesophage dans notre population est considérée comme un trouble moteur oesophagien primitif après élimination de toute lésion organique. Auparavant, le traitement était uniquement chirurgical. Nous rapportons le premier cas de dilatation pneumatique d’une achalasie chez une patiente admise pour une dysphagie chronique sur méga-oesophage. La dilatation au ballon a été réalisée sans la moindre complication sous sédation au propofol. L’évolution a été marquée par une amélioration clinique satisfaisante depuis 15 mois de suivi. Abstract Achalasia evolving to mega-esophagus is considered in our population as a primary esophageal motility disorder after ruling out an organic lesion. Previously, only surgical treatment was possible. We report the first case of achalasia pneumatic dilation in a patient admitted for chronic dysphagia on mega-oesophagus. Balloon dilation was performed under propofol anesthesia without complication. The outcome was favourable with satisfying clinical improvement since 15 months of follow-up. |
